Dewita Clothing

The Dewita logo was born from a moment of inspiration sparked by this carved figure of Dewi - the Indonesian goddess of life, fertility, and natural abundance. I was captivated by the serene expression of the sculpture and the beautifully radiating headdress that seemed to embody harmony, strength, and spiritual connection. I reinterpreted the shape of her crown into a modern, minimal emblem that could carry the essence of the goddess without replicating the sculpture literally. The arch of radiating forms became the signature mark of the brand - a symbol of growth, protection, inner light, and the deep bond between humans and nature. This transformation from sculpture to symbol set the foundation for the entire visual identity of Dewita, guiding the aesthetic direction and serving as a reminder of the brand's core values: creativity, spirituality, and a love for the natural world.

After creating the first collection of kimonos, we wanted to expand the Dewita vision into something even more accessible. Garments that people could wear every day, in any season, while still carrying the spirit of the brand. That’s how the hoodie collection began.

Hoodies felt like the perfect canvas: comfortable, easy to wear, and ideal for people who love expressing themselves through colour and symbolism. Each design features a goddess-inspired illustration, blending natural elements with spiritual themes to reflect the journey of self-exploration, intuition, and connection with the world around us.

Whether worn during a walk in nature, a sunset by the sea, or a quiet moment of reflection, the hoodies were created to feel like companions—soft, expressive, and meaningful. They bring together warmth, artistry, and identity, making everyday clothing feel like a small piece of personal empowerment.

Dewita became more than a product, it became a creative playground for exploring new ways of visual communication. It allowed me to combine storytelling, illustration, branding, and product design into one cohesive vision. And it reminded me of how much I enjoy bringing ideas to life from the first sketch to the final tangible piece.

This project reflects not only the brand we created, but also my own growth as a designer - curious, intuitive, and always ready to explore new paths in creativity.
